Launching a New Brand to Better See Your World… and Make Life More Fun
Odgis + Co is excited to share a new brand launch from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
Working hand-in-hand with the executive management team we crafted the positioning, strategy and design of the unique logo mark for Vistana Signature Experiences, a spin-off of Starwood’s vacation ownership business.
Every journey starts with a bit of planning—in this case, a series of sit-downs to develop the brand story and tone. After meeting with the Starwood team to understand the company’s vision and goals, we began work on the positioning and messaging. At the same time, we explored a variety of ways to visually express that messaging, including different typefaces, symbols, and colors.
Working closely as a team, we narrowed down the many concepts to the one logo that expressed the true mission of Vistana Signature Experiences.
The final product established a brand that projects a sophisticated and contemporary look. It features a cluster of brightly colored stars, evoking the constellations that have enabled travelers to navigate the world for centuries. The stars also allude to the “5 Star” world-class resorts in the Starwood portfolio. We created a color palette, representing the range of experiences you have on vacation.
